What is a Republic?
It's the form of government structure that America's Founding Fathers set us up with initially.
Unfortunately, over the years, our Republic has been butchered and perverted until we now suffer under a totalitarian democracy.

There are several sources we can use to answer, what is a Republic.
Let's start with a publication called Training Manual No. 2000-25 that was put out by the U.S. War Dept. in 1928.
Inside this 156 page book, the U.S. Government defined "democracy" and "republic". Interestingly, after the government bankruptcy fraud in the 1930's,
this publication was suppressed and destroyed in our supposed "free press" country.

What is a Republic? According to this now censored document:
- "Authority is derived through the election by the people of public officials best fitted to represent them. Attitude toward law is the administration of justice in accord with fixed principles and established evidence, with a strict regard to consequences. A greater number of citizens and extent of territory may be brought within its compass.
- an executive and
- a legislative body, who working together in a representative capacity, have all the power of appointment, all power of legislation, all power to raise revenue and appropriate expenditures, and are required to create
- a judiciary to pass upon the justice and legality of their government acts and to recognize
- certain inherent individual rights.

After answering our question: what is a Republic, the government document then defines democracy as this:
- "A government of the masses. Authority derived through mass meeting or any other form of "direct" expression. Results in mobocracy. Attitude toward property is communistic--negating property rights. Attitude toward law is that the will of the majority shall regulate, whether is be based upon deliberation or governed by passion, prejudice, and impulse, without restraint or regard to consequences. Results in demogogism, license, agitation, discontent, anarchy."
Sounds similar to Thomas Jefferson's thoughts on democracy:

WHAT IS A REPUBLIC: LET'S DIG DEEPER
What is a Republic? In a Republic, you have natural, God-given rights. The natural rights of the minority are protected by the Bill of Rights from majority "mob rule". In a jury trial, just one dissenting juror can prevent you from being deprived of your rights. The government serves you. You have no obligation to the government.

What is a Republic? A structure where your government exists to protect the rights and property of the sovereign people.
WHAT IS A REPUBLIC: TODAY'S DEMOCRACY
In a democracy, the majority rule. Instead of natural rights, you have civil rights bestowed upon you as a "privilege" granted by the majority. If the majority, on any whim, decides to vote 51%-49% in favor of taking away any of your unalienable rights, so be it. A democracy is a dictatorship of the majority.
In today's American democracy, your individual sovereignty is replaced by the sovereignty of the whole body of all the citizens. You have given government the power to rule you and your fate. You serve the government and have a duty to obey. The government has been given the power to confiscate your car, house, and any other property you've worked hard to gain. They can do this on any number of whimsical laws voted in by the majority mob.
The mob allows into existence laws based on how it's "feeling" at the moment, not based on constitutional law. The mob rules.
A democracy is the rule by majority feeling (mobocracy).
A republic is rule by law.
WHAT IS A REPUBLIC: WHY DID AMERICA CHANGE TO A DEMOCRACY?

If our old Republic is better than democracy, why would the American people allow such a dangerous change? Why, instead of understanding their heritage, have the people forgotten and have been reduced to asking, What is a Republic?
