What’s the purpose of a democracy?
The answer to this question is actually quite complicated.
First of all, we must call into question the use of the word “democracy”.
Most likely, you’re looking for an answer as it pertains to how a democracy is helpful to the people living within it.
However, in order to discuss this issue, we must start with the fact that America began as a Republic, not a democracy. Furthermore, why are we taught today that we’re a democracy and not a Republic?
PURPOSE OF A DEMOCRACY: REPUBLIC VS. DEMOCRACY
In order to define the purpose of a democracy, let’s start with what a Republic is.
Article IV, Section IV of the Constitution guarantees a Republic, not a democracy. In a Republic, rather than majority rule being the priority, the focus is on protecting the individual natural rights of the minority.
A Person of the Republic is sovereign. A sovereign holds no allegiance to the government. The government is subservient to the sovereign and exists solely to protect the natural rights of the People.

In a democracy, the majority (mob) rules. A Constitution can become meaningless because, instead of it being the untouchable “law of the land”, a 51% majority vote can vote away anything it chooses. Even your natural rights, such as freedom of speech or religion.

PURPOSE OF A DEMOCRACY: WHAT FORCE CONTROLS THE GOVERNMENT?
Our founding Fathers didn’t like the idea of democracy, yet here we are, only about 200 years later, operating as a democracy. This brings up the question of what’s the purpose of a democracy as it pertains to our current government/banking interests?
In order to explore the purpose of a democracy in this way, we must explore who’s in charge of the U.S. Government. Remember, in a Republic, the Sovereigns are over the government in the hierarchy. Under a democracy, the roles reverse. In America, the roles began to reverse in 1868 with the 14th Amendment (discussed in the above mentioned “Purpose of Law in Democracy” article) and was finalized with the U.S. bankruptcy fraud.
